One week to go until the music box is opened...

Just read this again and realised I've posted a Myspaz bulletin which sells this a lot better than that crap I wrote at the top of this thread...
Here's the text from it:

Music Box #1 - 15/08/09 - less than a week away!
This is very exciting - the first "Music Box" gig quickly approaches and will introduce a fantastic line up of live music on Saturday 15th August at Rosie Malones in Coventry.

Kicking off with "Self Made Maniac", gearing us all up with non nonsense pop/rock tunes for what's to follow...
Rugby's "The 720's" will wow the audience with their classic indie sounds and will be setting the standard bar very high indeed for the evening ahead...
Then welcome "Barkerhound", classy, combining blues and experimental music, they are the thinking man's band - oh, but hold up....
"91db" raise the roof as our headliners, conducting a right royal mash up as people dance their socks off to their drum n bass tunage. Time to let go!!

Hope to see as many people turn out for this as is humanly possible!

Sounds like a real good line up

Not into DnB at all and don't know the 720's but good to hear Self Made Maniac are still around - great band - and Barkerhound are amazing. Haven't seen them for quite a while now but I did put them on a couple of times back in the dark days and absolutely loved them.

Work permitting I'll be down for this

91db are more to Rig's (and my) liking - I expect most folks coming to see them may not come for the whole thing.
The 720's are top draw, we did one of Dan's charity gigs with them last year and I thought they were great.

Cheers to the folks who came down for this - there were some mighty fine performances on display, in particular:
The 720s lead vocalist, couldn't take yer eyes off him, what a character;
Barkerhound, they are truly amazing live;
Si Hayden's guitar (and double bass!) work with 91db, brilliant.
