"Music Box" Coventry

Afternoon all,
Just letting you know I'll be putting on a few Coventry gigs myself in the near future, hopefully once a month (as long as venues don't keep closing down!)

3rd April 2010 @ Rosie Malone's - Long Road Ghosts, Raf And O, Reubens Cane, Scott Parkes & Matt Fisher.
1st May 2010 @ Rosie Malone's - The Sizzling Gypsies, Idle Playthings, Russian Gun Dogs, LP45.
5th June 2010 @ Rosie Malone's - Little Girl Screaming, Men In Caves, Cats For Peru, Set Them On Fire.
3rd July 2010 @ Rosie Malone's - We Are The Dead, The Red List, Daniel Anthony Neal, Speak Your Peace.
2nd October 2010 @ Rosie Malone's - The Diesels, Idle Playthings, Bullitt, The Manatees.
6th November 2010 @ Rosie Malone's - Matt Lakey & The Whatever, Trillionaires, Retro City, The Kontours.

I'll be promoting each gig with full band info and links as it approaches, and I hope to see some friendly faces turn out for them.

Have you booked any more dates in? be an idea to make sure our line ups dont clash and the like

Not at the minute mate, was thinking of going for early December and probably skip November.
Are your dates more regular? (at TJs, isn't it?)

Yeah, they were meant to be the last Saturday of each month but they are a tad more scattered now

I was gonna do something probably 5th December (not booked yet), but didn't want to use same place each time - by the way, each time I've used TJs there's been some last minute hiccup with double bookings, so keep yer eye on them for that.

By the way, top of this thread I'm continually updating venue and line up confirmations - maybe you could do something similar for yours, so it's easy for us to check we're not duplicating?
Or you can remain the "man of mystery"...

Will be doing so, im starting to book in Sept onward next week

By the way, thanks for your recommendations re 91db and DLTS (booked them both now).

I be all excited about Music Box #1 tonight - though I'm probably gonna stress the whole night about running it and end up not enjoying it myself... but that's why we do it, eh?

Music Box #3 line up is coming together now, I'm getting quietly excited about this one...

Music box #4 is dead - long live Music Box #4 (in January)

From March 2010 onward (for the forseeable future at least), "Music Box" has a new regular time and place - first Saturday of each month at Rosie Malone's - let's hope this makes for some regular attendees also!

Looks like Rosie's is the best place to put on an independent gig these days. I shall have to wait until October for my first one this year.

I haven't put any really heavy bands on yet.
Not that I wouldn't, but would do a dedicated night for that rather than mix it up with most local bands.

MB gigs in March & April shaping up nicely, check top of this thread for line ups

We might be up for an April bash, any other bands showed an interest for that one? be cool if a few off here played it
