I remember once The Way were in a competition to get into the local Observer free paper and I discovered that if you deleted the cookies, you could up you play count on myspace. Well I did it for a while, but Mandz spent 8 hours doing it overnight, suffice to say they twigged and we got disqualified, ha!
We still got to play at the Leamington Assembly as a part of the competition, which was awesome!

being disqualified at this stage is not an option!

well i think we have pretty much done all we can, we've pimped on every large Cov based facebook group/fan pages, (except band pages, don't wanna take the piss!), we must have putthe link in front of about 20,000 local music lovers and cov folk, we've tired our mates continuosly on facebook with the same request and we've asked CV One, CWR, The Enemy to help us spread the word.

hopefully people have taken note and spared us 2 seconds of their time, although getting people to click a button in this day and age is hard work.

Comp ends 24th Feb so we'll no doubt find out next week if we've been successful or not.

one band of the 20 dropped out last night, apparently they have never played live and don't have the equipment to do so, heh! 4 in 19 chance now!

Rig have you got a list of bands here ? Be good to have a listen and see what these judges consider as top drawer these days.

we only had a mail this morning saying we got through to the final 20 acts, seems their communicate ain't the best cos we've known for a while!

turns out the overall winner of the comp nets a cool £2000 as well as a further slot on the mainstage of the Snowbombing fest so plenty to look forward to should we be in the final 4

short interview on BBC Introducing tonight about the comp and a 1st airing of colder, hope it sounds ok, never know until its been played!

It's not letting me vote at all now Rig, don't know if it's happening to other people, but it could affect you chances. I didn't mean though, that just me not being able to vote will affect the result, my thought was if many or no one at all can vote, it might... you get the idea!
