May well make it down for this, is it standard Kasbah damage for entry?

8:40 - 9:15 for us, although i would encourage all to get down early and absorb the varied nights entertainments and stay to watch eaststrikewest as they may come good this year according to reports

Nice set last night. Was going to come have a chat after Eaststrikewest finished Rig but you shot off. Not that there was much to hang around for. I was impressed with how tight you guys were, its something im working towards! All the songs sounded polished too, think that was becuase of all the keys. I like bands that can re-produce their recordings live and i think you guys did that. And you had the only good sound guy, i was very impressed with the FOH sound for you guys, better that Eaststrikewest and they had their own dedicated sound guy! We never have ash doing our sound! I made sure to get him doing it for our Hitchcock gig!
I thought your music sounded like U2 and elbow locked in a room for a week with only keyboards and synths to mess with. Hope you take that as a compliment!

Re: EE @ Kasbah, 11th March
cheers for coming down mate, should have introduced yourself
Ash is an ace sound engineer, i have so much respect for the guy
thought we played well considering we hadn't played since start of December and only had one 2 hour jam the night before
attendance was shocking, our worst yet and hopefully not a sign of things to come this year
enjoyed eaststrikewest, epic sounding shoegaze at times with rich layers

Re: EE @ Kasbah, 11th March
The aqttendance was down to the promotion of the bands themselves and the venue, so all involved are to blame. Eaststrikewest were not my cup of tea at all, i really didnt like it.
I think your band and us would compliment each other reasonably well. I liked your dancy style, something i feel we have (maybe not The Choke.
I think you'd like our keys player too, you too have different styles of playing but i think you'd both enjoy observing the other. I noticed you had a Korg, he's just spent a rediculous sum you wouldnt even be able to guess on the new Korg SV-1 which is amazing and he'd love to show off to someone who actually cares about keys!

Re: EE @ Kasbah, 11th March
yup, we didn't really promote it other than a few facebook and forum posts and after a while it feels like spamming. guess the other bands did the same and i felt kind of sorry for ESW as there was only a few band members and couple of other people left watching. they are touring, i hope they are doing better in the other towns!
at least at a weekend kasbah gig you get the regulars so its busy
my lot only tend to come to bigger gigs, not really into the unsigned live stuff

Re: EE @ Kasbah, 11th March
Jesus yeah what a bunch of tossers, played with them in London in October we'd bought kit as we were headlining and those had their piece of shit MDF/Plywood hybrid kit on stage saying 'well we're set up and soundchecked now' the apt response from me was along the lines of 'tough shit either its coming off the stage or you are'.
The fucking faces on them when more heads turned up to see us than them in their home town ha ha ha. Permed coconut of a singer looked like he'd been raped by a crowbar after our set!
Hope your set went well though lads.
