Band Needed...

Kind of wishing I had signed up to this forum sooner. could of got a gig out of that.

Well, I've not had definate confirmation from the shards, and we need a support for a gig at the Fleur De Lys. Interested? What band you in?

I'm the Bassist/singer in Idle Playthings. We all live in Nuneaton. I"d obviously have to check with the other guys when they're free, but we are currently looking for gigs.

I messaged them on myspace straight away, and with no reply after a week, with the gig 10 days away, i got the Shards. Offered them a support at the Fleur though...

Blue Bear, Nuneaton, tonight!

Absolutely great gig at the Blue Bear last night.

The night started by receiving a text from my brother (bass) who had arrived at the venue saying what have we let ourselves in for here. Later followed by 'just watching the support soundcheck.. why did you get these to play!'

When i got to the venue I was a bit unshure of the place, the support band were just going on, after the first song I wanted to leave. Idle play things were awesome! My band just looked at me like, why did you get these, we have to follow them!

After greatly enjoying the Idle Play Things, we went on, and I really enjoyed the set. Fucking hot in there i tell you. So overall a great night. The people at the venue are friendly so dont be put off by first appearances.

A final thank you to John who very kindly came down and did the sound for us, a man who's musical knowledge equals our friend Dave which is really something.

Also thanks to the Idle Play Things, real nice guys, great band. Would have loved to play with you guys in April, shame my brother isnt free, but we have a gig at the Fleur in early May and need a support, so if your willing to throw a few shit songs in.... let us know.
