ACTION FOR AUTISM FUNDRAISER @ The Rising Sun, Saturday August 15th

Our first charity night, with no less than 5 bands playing, including local stars NEAR DARK.

As it's a charity event, there will be a £2 door price after 7pm.

also on the bill are Lipshock and Hand, from Brighton.

We decided to put this awareness gig on as I have 2 nephews that have Autism and my youngest lad is having assesments via CAMS for adhd. So this is close to my heart.

My sister in law is vice chair of the Coventry Action for Autism group (CAFAG) she said someone will come along to represent the group, as she is away that date and I am hoping that the Telegraph will come along too.
The group supports the parents as well, they also hold holiday activities for asd children, so any money we can make will go directly to this organisation. I know it will help them out a lot.

I am aware of Coventry Action for Autism, on a personal level and through my work with young carers (a lot of them have brothers and sisters who are autistic.) I will try my darndest to be there for this. to show my support for the amazing work that they are doing.

It would be great to see you there Markyg...and bring plenty of peeps with you (the more the merrier)!!

CAFAG need regonition for all the hardwork they do that's why I am hoping to get the Telegraph involved.

I canny wait for this gig, good line up of bands, and I am so pleased that my friends Hand and Aceldama confirmed to play this for me too.
These are 2 very good female fronted bands and with Near Dark the woman are gonna rule that night LOL!!
Only kidding Lipshock and Infury are fantastic bands too.

Oh, and drummers, when you stop adding 'and' in between numbers the Musician's Union may let to get full membership!

Your gig is for a great cause, by the way, but I'd leave it to those with a reasonable command of the English language to promote it for you...

Martin - Maybe you should read what people say before you shoot them down...Daswikinger has ASD himself, so maybe this is one of the symptoms of the ASD???
I know from 1st hand experience that people with an ASD sometimes have trouble with grammer, I know my youngest son does, he gets muddled up most of the time and you have to calm him down and get him to say things slowly so he doesn't get angry with himself.
I think I am making a valid point there don't you agree?
