"Music Box" returns 02.10.10 - great line up!!
Music Box gigs return to Rosie Malones in Coventry on Saturday 2nd October!

Check out this awesome line up:
The Bands:
IDLE PLAYTHINGS
http://www.myspace.com/idleplaythings
Godiva Unsigned winners and mainstage act 2010. "Idle Playthings were a real refreshing treat - tight, technical, proggy, funky, experimental, dancey rock, the kind of thing it's hard to quite put your finger on...the whole thing accessible and interesting and combined with the funky grooves and well written melodies, the overall effect was something quite breathtaking!"
(Quote from John Oliver of Sound Foundry........couldn't put it better myself!)
THE DIESELS
http://www.myspace.com/Thedieselslive
The Diesels are as solid an indie/alternative band as you're likely to find. They have well crafted songs and perform these with flair and seemingly effortless perfection. Whether you're seeing them for the first time or not, this band have a cheeky, likeable and accessible quality that you'll enjoy every time!
BULLITT
http://www.myspace.com/bullittmusicuk
Bullitt are an excellent 3-piece rock band from Nottingham & Derby. Their fusion of killer melodies, powerful riffs and spikey melodic rock guitar, combined with solid drumming and driving bass lines, conjure up their own style. These guys are ones to watch!
THE MANATEES
http://www.myspace.com/dreamphase
Previously known as "Dreamphase", this ace local band mix prog rock with alternative influences (think Smashing Pumpkins crossed with Tool) to create their very own "spacerock". This is huge music, with huge ideas and sounds, leaving the listener hugely impressed!
See you there, music lovers....

BUMP for tonight's gig, and stage times:
9.15pm - The Manatees (aka Dreamphase)
10.00pm - Bullitt (from Notts/Derby)
10.45pm - Idle Playthings - change to plan in that Danny Miller (keys/vox) will be performing an almost solo electronica set!

Cheers to everyone who came to this, a most interesting evening!
Danny's (Idle Playthings) set certainly added the eclectic content, was really good.
Plus solid sets from The Diesels and The Manatees, and the out of town band wasn't bad either.
Looking forward to the next one....
