Re: Cov & Warks bands submitted for Wychwood Festival
Just found this..
Great news!
The Arcadian Kicks will finally be releasing their debut single, "19 Days" on 5th July 2010 on One Beat Records (distributed through EMI).
The B-side will be "Standing in the Road (edit version).
Both tracks are produced & mixed by Mike Chapman, legendary producer of Blondie's classic albums, Parallel Lines, Auto American & Eat to the Beat amongst many others.
We are currently mastering the songs as we speak in Birmingham!
It will be available on 500 copies x limited edition 7" vinyl and download from all the usual online outlets.
(We're also working on a special fan only package too but will get those details to you as and when they are finalised).
The 7" and special edition single will be made available to all big indie retailers and (hopefully) HMV or you'll be able to buy it from us directly via our social network sites or at the gigs. (or just drop Ian Light an email)
We have a whole album's worth of material also produced by Mike Chapman which we hope to release later in the year...but please be patient with us as we need to get "19 Days" away first!
You can still listen to another brand new song streamed on our Myspace page called "White Noise". Check it out and let us know what you think
Plus we are back out on tour at the moment at the following gigs and festival dates:
23rd April - Music Cafe, Leicester
30th April – The Chapel @ 1, Shakespeare Street, Stratford-u-Avon
7th May – The Leopard, Doncaster
9th May - Godiva Festival (band heat), Flapper & Firkin, Birmingham (1.30pm)

21st May - Maggie Mays, Glasgow
22nd May - Greenside Hotel, Leslie, Fife
23rd May - Dexters, Dundee
28th May - Syndicate Club Night @ The Sound Bar, Birmingham
30th May - Moho (Room 1), Hungry Pigeon Festival, Manchester (on stage @ 6.15pm)
30th May - The Crosby, Crosby, Liverpool (The Crosby Festival) (on stage @ 9pm)
4th June - Wychwood Festival, Cheltenham (Big Top Stage @ 7pm)
5th June – Club Unity, Bridgwater, Somerset
12th June - Isle of Wight Festival (Acoustic Stage @ 4.30pm)

defo mate, we tried to tap him up last year but wasn't interested it seems, he looks after isolated atoms too. both seem to get great gigs all the time!

Re: Cov & Warks bands submitted for Wychwood Festival
(Gulp) Why are we playing against them!! might see if Mike Chapman wants a new project after he's finished with them. Does anyone know any hot girls? I live in Nuneaton so I'm struggling.
Re: Cov & Warks bands submitted for Wychwood Festival
yes Dan gotta be honest dude i don't envy ya, really tough heat away
hopefully you can muster a good support man, try to use the fact that you are Cov away to your advantage!

Re: Cov & Warks bands submitted for Wychwood Festival
ah well, we'll play our best. hand out a few cds and try and get some contacts. we're taking a few people, but god only knows how many others will turn up. especially after what I hear of the 1st heat.

He'll make all of your songs sound exactly like Heart of Glass part 2 played by Barry Manilow being raped by a clone of Barry Manilow.

Re: Cov & Warks bands submitted for Wychwood Festival
no mate can't say i have, any good?
i've seen some pics and blurb and it seems to me to be a lot like Godiva in terms of layout etc
seen the admission price though? sometimes we forget how lucky we are that godiva is free!! £110 weekend ticket!
saying that tho its worth paying £50 for the sat just to see if Ryder is coherent with the Happy Mondays!
