Topic StudyVox FM - Introducing

Post by Steve Wed Jun 17, 2009 8:10 am

Hey guys, StudyVox FM is up and running now. It is the UKs first NATIONAL student radio station purely for student bands and musicians.

There is some awesome local talent on the playlist. The top ten is dominated by Capulets, This/Broadcast, The Laines, Nevilles First Nintendo, Paris Riots & The Loaded.

But dont let that put you off! Laughing

Check it out and give it a listen! Upload some music too!

Yes. Why only student bands?

It's always annoyed me how unsupportive our universities are of local music.

Good luck with the radio station, but for me, I won't be tuning in until the 'closed shop' opens.

'closed shop'?

The radio station is a feature on the StudyVox website. A social networking website for students. Once we reach 30,000 members we will be giving a random member a £10,000 bursary to pay off there tuition fees.

Sorry. I got the wrong end of the stick. I thought it was only going to be airing local 'student' bands.

No, if you're airing local non-student bands too I think you'll get a lot of support. As I said, good luck with it.

We do only air student bands, the criteria though is that just one member has to be studying.
